Best Vacation Villa at Yelagiri with luxury package best holiday home at yelagiri

Yelagiri might not be a very widely known hill station in Tamil Nadu unlike Ooty or Kodaikanal but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Yelagiri is regarded on par with Ooty or any other hill station in the state and even better than some. A little known gem, this small town is a beautiful place to visit all round the year even though the best times are summers and winters. Most of Yelagiri is still untouched by commercialization and that ensures that you have a nice sylvan experience there. Below are some places worth checking out in Yelagiri and also learn more about nice luxury resorts in Yelagiri.
Yelagiri or Elagiri is situated at a height of 1400 meters above sea level and the landscape is marked with lakes and valleys. The town is around 150kms from Bangalore and around 250kms from Chennai by road as there are no railway lines directly connecting Yelagiri. The nearest railway station is Jolarpettai Junction from where you will find taxis and buses for Yelagiri.

Punganoor Artificial Lake-cum-Park:

This beautiful lake is among the most easily recognizable landmarks of Yelagiri and the park is also a famous attraction. This should be the first place that you need to visit when in Yelagiri and the lake is a major point for locals and tourists alike. There is also a boating facility available here on the lake that is quite a hit among tourists.

Jalagamparai Waterfalls:

This is one of the most popular waterfalls in the area and it is 5kms from Yelagiri. The 5kms stretch is a great place for some impromptu trekking too. But the waterfall remains dry for long stretches and you need to check whether its flowing or not or else the trip would be a waste.

Telescope observatory:

This is a nice secluded spot that was once an observatory but has closed down now.

Trekking at the Swami Malai Hills:

Swami Malai Hills are another famous attraction of Yelagiri. The hills are a popular spot among tourists for trekking exercises and the top is around 3kmsfrom the bottom. The treks are not rigorous and there are also hamlets on the way and on the top. But the view of the valley below is something that makes the trek worthwhile.
Travelers will find no dearth of good hotels or luxury resorts in Yelagiri and that too according to their budget. One of the finest luxury resorts in the area is Cloud 9 managed by TGI Hotels is quite renowned for its sense of luxury. The only resort in the Hills having all luxury villas, private kitchenette, bath, etc and also offers great view of the Swami Malai Hills. If that’s not enough then there is also a multi cuisine restaurant for customers. The Children Play are and activity zones keep the Toddlers busy. A good place to chill and unwind.
